Cashew cheese sauce (vegan, gluten-free)
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups soaked raw cashews
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1 1/2 cups oat milk
1 jalapeño, chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
Freshly ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Soak the cashews in 4 cups of water for at least 2 hours. After 2 hours, drain the cashews
Once the cashews are done draining, add cashews, garlic, nutritional yeast, oat milk, jalapeño, turmeric, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, dijon mustard, and black pepper to a high powered blender / Nutribullet
Blend until all ingredients come together. If you want a thinner sauce, add a bit more oat milk
Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary
Enjoy over tacos, on your nachos, over pasta etc :)
